James was born on July 16th, 1945. He married Laura Martin in 1988 and was happily married for 33 years. James worked for United Parcel Service for 47 years and received many awards and accommodations for his hard work and strong work ethic. He enlisted in the United States Army and was a veteran of The Vietnam War. James enjoyed spending time with his dogs Zoey, Stella, and Willow, watching and playing golf and bowling. He was a kind man and could find someone he knew everywhere he went.
James was preceded in death by his parents Charles Weir and Dora Weir and his sister Sally Sweeny.
James is survived by his wife Laura Weir, his son Eric Weir, his siblings Bonnie (Jim) Cadaret, Dora Weir, Nancy (Mike) Mullians, Tom Weir, Sue (Jerry) Church, John (Theresa) Weir, Cindy Kennedy, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, September 12, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores. Inurnment will take place on Monday, September 13, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI.
