I will always think fondly of my Uncle John. He was a big part of my childhood and was so funny, witty, and enjoyable to be around.  He was not just family, but a friend to my parents and we all shared many laughs and good conversations when I was young. I'm happy you can be with Joe now, Uncle John.

I have known John for over 7 years now, he touched so many lives and always wil be remembered in my heart as the gentle giant.  Love you and will always miss you John. God Bless you your family and Michelle and her family.

I knew John as we were raising our children. My daughters baby sat for his children and we spent many hours sharing fun at community potlucks and family get togethers. I always enjoyed his quick laughter and his loving spirit. My deepest sympathy to his children. I am sure he will be deeply missed. The entire Dorn family sends their condolences.

John was in my class for 12 years at St. Scholastica Elementary and Benedictine High.  Always knew him to be a gentleman.  So glad we had a nice visit, along with his sister Marie Koerper, about 5 years ago at the BHS SSS picnic, and sadly again 1-1/2 years ago at his son's funeral.  It was good to see him doing well with his life.  He was able to overcome some of life's most difficult trials.  God did bless John's life!  May John rest peacefully in God's loving arms forever!

John was a loving brother to Marie,and loved by Erin and Brandon.  John and I went through our early grades together and had many wonderful times.  My brother, Jim, often spoke warmly about John.  I'm saddened that I can't be with Marie but I look forward to a celebration of John in Tampa.

I knew John for 16 years. He was a great friend and I will miss him dearly. My heart felt sympathy goes out to his family.

John was a caring and kind person and would always make me laugh with his straight faced humor. It was always a fun time playing cards when John was there and he will be sorely missed, Rest in Peace John

It is with great sadness that we heard from my sister Pauline about John's passing.  

John and I grew up together in Detroit and we were only three years difference is age and even as youngsters John would frequently refer to me as Uncle Joe which confused a lot of the other kids in the neighborhood.  We were more like brothers than nephew and uncle.

John and Michelle visited with us several times in Hawaii most recently in 2012 and he visited us in 2013 with his sister Marie. 

John and Michelle were planning to stay and visit with us in April of 2015.

“John you will always be with us as long as we hold you in our memory”.

John will be dearly missed by the entire extended Pannunzio family. He was very generous and gracious to all of us. He had a great sense of humor as well. He was a joy to have around. Every time I hear about Hawaii, I will always think of him.   Cheri Garrington

I've known John for about ten years. I have come to trust his knowledge of all things 'building' related. We spoke the day before he passed, I asked him how to insulate a coated electrical wire from the dryer vent tube which was now resting on the wire. I told him I had wrapped the wire with electrical tape and would like to know what else I needed to do. He paused, I waited for the wisdom, "Just stick a piece of cardboard between them, that's all you need."  It's not really about what he said, it was about him taking the time out of his day to call, assess the situation and give me the simplest conclusion. I will miss him in many ways and Thursday night dinners will never be the same. My heart breaks that he is gone from us, and yet I celebrate the privelege to have known him and the knowledge he sits among the angels in the presence of God gives me some relief. Kimberly J.
