John M. Maynard, age 83, died October 30, 2012. He was a State Representative for 16 years and a City Councilman in St. Clair Shores for 6 years. He served in the Korean War in the U.S. Marine Corp. Beloved husband of the late Carol. Loving father of the late Michael, Susan (Dan) DeClercq, Tom (Janet), Julie LaVigne, Mark (Theresa), Christine (Kelly) Cook, Robert (Lyn), Scott, David (Katie), Molly Terrell and Sarah (Rick) Hill. Dearest grandfather of 24 and great-grandfather of 6. Memorial visitation Tuesday, November 20, 2012 from 2-9 pm with a Memorial Service at 7 pm at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson, St. Clair Shores. Inurnment will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Maynard Family Book Fund, Macomb Community College, the Salvation Army or the Capuchins.
