What an unforgettable warrior with his warrior woman by his side. Fought the good fight longer that most would ever imagine. He worked, traveled abroad, vacationed and absolutely amazed me as I followed his journey to our Lord & Savior as a beloved child of God.

Sending prayers for comfort & peace for all his family & friends.

Love,
Dianne & Roger Newman

From a long time ago, in Roseville-Aunt Nancy & Uncle Norby's enclosed Garage where they'd send us kiddos to play. This is a Pic of Joe and my sister Patty.... (Also gone too soon) Looking at that great smile of Joe's...not sure what they were so proud of, maybe Play Doh....and I see the ever popular Lego's to the left. Fun times swimming and running around on the Hillsdale Farm too.

Jean and Family,
There is not one good thing that I can say about pancreatic cancer other than without it, I would not have come to know you and Joe. I will never ever forget the kindness and compassion you both showed me when Eric passed. I will be forever grateful. God Bless you all.

Jean, Caroline, Courtney and Kerryanne, it’s obvious that Joe loved each one of you with all his heart and I know he was a proud father husband. I remember meeting him before Jean and Joe got married; he would crack jokes and try to twist my words... it was funny. Then, when I was at your wedding, he told me, “Kirt, don’t drink too much”, then winked. Ok, Joe, I’m 12!!!

I will miss him greatly, but I know his wonderful spirit will live on throughout the rest of our lives.

Love, Kirt

Dear Jean and family,

My heart bleeds for you at this difficult time after the passing of your beloved husband and dad! He was one of the most gifted man I knew, and a very kind soft spoken soul! I feel Fred is by his side among all that have preceded him in heaven above with our Lord.
He will be sorely missed, but not forgotten.

All my love, Claudia Borcherts

I did not have the pleasure of meeting Joe, but the love that his daughter, Caroline, had for him was palpable. Caroline is one of the loveliest people I have had the pleasure to know. She is a delight: hard working, thoughtful, utmost integrity, intelligent, creative and funny... I can only assume that she is the mostly the person she is through the love and guidance of Joe and Jean. I am so very sorry for the family’s loss.
