Karen Ann Hamilton, age 83, passed away on April 5, 2026. Born on November 3, 1942, to parents Maurice "Duffy" and Catherine Arnot. Karen was a cherished, selfless, hard-working, and adventurous woman whose presence meant so much to those who knew and loved her.
Karen graduated from High School and went on to get her Master's Degree in Business Administration from Oxford. Karen lived an amazing life where she was able to study abroad and travel the world.
Karen worked as a Team Leader in Claims Processing and spent many years of her career in Operational Training Claims for Blue Cross and Blue Shield. She retired in 2008 after 45 years.
Karen married the love of her life Donald Hamilton, and they would go on to make many memories together, until Donald's passing in 2023. Karen is survived by her "heart" granddaughter Amber (Angela Comilla) Ontis who was her whole heart. Karen was also survived by her "heart" daughter Trina (James) Duda, and "heart" grandson Ian Stone. Karen also leaves behind many friends and neighbors. Karen will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Karen's final wishes included remaining in her childhood home here she was cared for by the very best caregivers, who all referred to her fondly as Grandma. They shared laughs and memories and were cherished and appreciated.
Karen enjoyed and fondly remembered her dog Molly and always had a story to tell about her. Karen also loved to garden, and her favorite place to be was in the sun in her backyard. She loved music, coloring, and going on long walks.
Family will receive family and friends on Thursday, April 9, 2026, from 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm, with a 7 pm Scripture Service, at Kaul Funeral Home 28433 Jefferson Ave., St Clair Shores, Michigan 48081.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026, beginning with a gathering at 10:00 am, until time of service at 11:00 am, at the funeral home.
Karen will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township, Michigan next to her husband.
Memorials in memory of Karen are suggested to the Grosse Pointe Animal Adoption Society.
