I went to high school with Mark, I always remember him racing around in his car... I was real sorry to hear of his passing it's amazing when you search on your cell phone and look up people whom you used to know and unfortunately Mark is about the 5th person that I have come to find out that they're no longer with us... Funny memory of Mark....
we were playing in the Cal Ripken tourney in the Smokey Mountains..
Mark had accidentally forgot his shoes and mistakenly decided to wear a pair of "slides" while coaching.  As the day wore on in the Tennessee heat, the top of Mark's feet turned completely pink.
By the end of the day it looked like he had pink shoes on.  Mark being "Mark" laughed it off through the pain and coached on.

We miss you Mark - your caring and serving heart touched the lives of so many.  You will NEVER be forgotten.

My memory of mark is just how much he loved his players.  Never have I seen more loyalty. Winning was fun to mark , but being there for his players was his main objective when he took to the dugout. It was an honor to be at his side and he will be forever missed but never forgotten.  Thank you for investing you smile and good attitude to our mariner family. Win or lose, we took that with us

First off god bless you mark and your family. 
I know mark from baseball. I work at Kyte and he was a pleasure to be around. Always had positive energy and I will always appreciate you having my back. Rest easy brother🙏🏼♥️ 

Mark and I go back many years working together with the Mariner organization and baseball at Kyte Monroe. Whether it was helping out with tournaments, scheduling games or practices, or just sitting around talking baseball, the thing that made Mark different than most coaches was he always took the time to ask me if  I needed anything, instead of the other way around. That's a very rare and special quality. Mark was a great guy and baseball in St. Clair Shores will not be the same without him. He will not be forgotten.

I will always remember the day that Tyler came to be a substitute player for Mark. Because that day I think I heard the story how Mark told Tyler, "to quit whatever team he is on and join his team", a million times. 
He was so proud that someone believed that he was good enough to play with "the middle school kids". That day did more for his self confidence then years of baseball training. That day gave Tyer the courage to bunt, and boy did he bunt, I think every at-bat he went for the bunt.
Mark did more for these kids self confidence than he'll ever know, and for that I'm sure he will be remembered forever.

Coach, Thank you for believing in Matthew and giving him the opportunity to be apart of your team. When you sat down with Matthew after the game and asked him “ Do you wanna play baseball”.  Matthew said yes and you said “Welcome to the family” .  Matthew turned to me with tears of joy and said Dad, I made the team. This was such a special moment for Matt and, I was in tears. Just knowing you made  Matthew’s dream come true by making the team but also friends he’s was going to grow up with playing baseball. These kids on your team will not quit and know you will be with them every practice and game guiding them to victory.  

Coach.  My sons exact words when he found out you were gone, “Coach Mark was the only coach that believed in me!”  Thank you for being that kind of Coach. Especially in a time when baseball has taken a huge turn, I loved that you kicked it “old school” - you took kids that had heart and made them great ball players. As long as the kid had love for the game and worked hard you would not give up on them. But in the same breath you loved to win.   The Anderson boys will miss you so much!  We had big plans for this 12U team Coach - your boys will never forget you. 

Mark was a role model for our son, Matthew. He gave him a chance and believed in him.
I will be forever grateful for giving our son the opportunity. He will be missed. 

Mark and I worked together at Autoneum.  He was a good friend and colleague.  He was a positive leader who was loved and respected by his team.  Mark, you will be missed.

We will always remember Mark as a very kind, caring and giving  person. He made such a positive impact on all the boys he has mentored and coached through the Mariners baseball league.  He was a special person because he dedicated his time to coaching for many years. We will miss seeing and talking to him at the baseball fields. He will never be forgotten. We are sending  prayers to his family during this very difficult time. RIP

Ed and I knew Mark for many years on and off the baseball field. Mark had a kind heart and would do anything for anyone. Always seen the good in everyone and everything.  We will cherish all the memories with Mark. He will truly be missed. 

My heart goes out to Becky, Jeanette and Steven. Mark was a man that will be easily remembered. He spent countless hours with us at the ball field. He was two of my sons’ first travel ball coach. We all played many years together and even traveled to Myrtle Beach. I have so many fond memories of Mark. I will definitely cherish them forever. 

Mark, Thank you for your countless hours on the field. 

Mark really enjoyed coaching, but more than that was a fine role model for the boys he coached that grew into fine young men. It was an honor to be one of his assistant coaches. Some of my finest memories are all of our tournament weekends and the trip to Myrtle Beach. Rest In Peace my friend, you made a huge difference in many of our lives and will never be forgotten.
