I remember how excited Uncle Matt was to see everyone. When I walked through the side door of my grandma's house, to greet the family, he was usually one of the first to say, "Shannon. Hiiii" as he enlongated the hello enthusiastically. Next came a hug. 
As shy as I was, it was nice to be greeted so exuberantly by an uncle. Especially one I didn't see often enough. 
Until we meet again, Uncle Matt. I know you're having a great time up there!

Guess I must look like a "Sharon" or reminded Matt of a "Sharon" that he knew, since that is what he called me for the majority of years that we knew each other.  I gave up correcting him and just laughed when other family members wanted to know why he was calling me "Sharon".  He is at peace now.

My little brother you will be greatly missed. Matt it gives me  great  pleasure to know that you are now in a better place, and no more pain. My memories of you playing soccer with endless supply of energy. And yes always keeping the family on are toes.  Because through your eyes life had too much to see and do  to keep you sitting in one spot for too long.  Your way of problem-solving had a unique way of getting things done.   Yes I am still laughing at your solution too many problems today.  Forever  you will hold a special place in my heart little

I admire the tenacity and courage with which Matt faced the extraordinary challenges of his life. 
Matt was blessed to have the loving support of his sister, Vicky, who enhanced the quality of his life.

Matt always had that smile, he would look at me and say do you remember when we did, what ever it was and we would laugh and talk about it like it was yesterday, he never forgot and just love to bring up old memories. Matt had loving eyes and a hart to match, he will be missed but never forgotten. God has a special place in heave for Matt. God bless you Rest In Peace 

Matt was the beloved brother of Vicky..
Through many years of his life he suffered from mental illness, yet he showed tremendous courage and strength to persevere.
Where others didn’t understand him Victoria stuck by him and cared for him .
She was a wonderful caregiver.
May God bless and keep him, as he is no longer suffering in this world.
