Born on February 12, 1961 in Detroit, Michigan, Michael was graduate of Lake Shore High School, Class of 1979, and was a lifelong St. Clair Shores resident.
Michael was a dedicated husband to the love of his life Chiqui Jeffrey; and a devoted and loving father to his son EJ and stepdaughter Orlah.
He was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Dorothy Jeffrey; and his brother Danny Jeffrey.
He is also survived by his dear sisters; Michelle Jeffrey, (Mary) Susan Jeffrey-Patricca, Cynthia Jeffrey-Moise, Denise Sam (Chris), and Renee Coleman (Lushion), along with his sister-in-law Kate Cronin Jeffrey, and former spouse Lucille Black (mother to EJ).
Michael leaves behind a large extended family of cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews, each of whom held a special place in his heart.
A lifelong lover of music, Michael found joy and connection through the rhythm and soul of live concerts. From his teenage years onward, he attended countless shows, building memories around the soundtracks of his life. Music was more than a hobby, it was a passion that brought him happiness, inspiration, and community.
His passion for music was nearly surpassed by his passion for baking sweet treats. He was an avid follower of sports, especially Red Wings hockey, Tigers baseball, and Michigan Football. Another source of great joy was the unconditional love provided by his dogs that filled the house with toys and endless barking.
Michael will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his infectious laugh, his unwavering love for family and friends, and the way he lit up when sharing his favorite songs and recipes. His legacy lives on in the melodies he cherished and the hearts of those who loved him.
May He Rest In Peace.
