Uncle mike, life has settled down and today I got to reflect on the time I had with you and, for a while, it "kicked in" that you were gone. But then I remembered the beautiful poem aunt laverne picked that I read again, and it gave me peace. I cant wait to see you again someday.

I will always cherish the memories I had with Grandpa.  He taught me how to bowl and gave me my first bowling ball.  The patients he showed, teaching me how to fish.  I still go fishing to this day and still have my ball he gave me when I was 10.  When I came over as a kid, we'd play card games and get quarters from our ears.  I remember him always playing in a lottery of some kind, saying he was going to win it big someday. :)

I spent most of my childhood looking forward to going over grandpa's house. I ended up there most days after school, and he was always so happy, so fun to be around. He taught me how to play cards probably before I can properly recall memories, and i'd venture to say that he taught me how to joke around, laugh, and enjoy life. I remember playing rummy and memory the most. I remember playing his poker and blackjack video games while he would watch some sci-fi movie. We also had so many good times up at the trailer; whether we were fishing, playing bingo, or just hanging out. My grandpa was truly the most amazing man and I will always cherish the time I got to spend with him. I am going to miss him. May he rest in peace.

Dad~ you were the best to family and friends as well.
We all have a special memory of you, but you will always be remembered for your sense of humor and silly grin.

So Dad...to you I say, :  You may be Gone from our sight, but never our memories …..
Gone from our touch, but never our hearts.

My condolences to the family.  I didn’t know you but I am a friend of your daughter Michelle and by knowing her, it is obvious you are a wonderful person. You were loved and cherished on earth and you are now a beautiful addition to Heaven and I know you will continue to watch your family and friends.   Thank you for all you meant to those still left on earth.  You will not be forgotten.

We had our first dance at my wedding 51 years ago. We danced at a couple other weddings. You didn't care if it were fast or slow...Mike you were always ready to stroll across the dance floor. You were my "Fred Astaire", that's what I called you.  
Perhaps one day, we'll have another go at it. I'll save you a spot on my futures 'dance card'. 
Prayers to your loved ones that you left behind. May God be with them with this endurance of saying, "Good Bye".

We thank you for your service to the military, moose and eagles. I am the governor at Lapeer moose lodge and a member of the Eagles also. We thank you for all you have done!!

This is believed to have been taken at Fort Sheridan, IL, shortly after enlistment. 

He was always smiling and ready to make the kids smile. It was funny to see him still pulling the old quarter out of the ear trick to his great-great nephews & nieces 30 years later. I’m willing to bet he’s been pulling that one for closer to 70 years though. 

He always knew his way around an engine. He loved this picture, although "Margies camera skills werent that great." and it is blurry. 

Really going to miss uncle mike. I sat and talked with him for a long time about memories of being in the army. One memory he shared is that he put ketchup on everything. This was because the food was "no good" and he would have to clean his plate or else he would get in trouble. So he just put ketchup on everything and it made it "better".
