Ricky attended Glen H. Peters, Bovenschen School, and Lutz School. He was an avid sports fanatic; no matter the sport he loved it. Ricky was an officer for the Roseclair Eagles 2895, his second family, from 1985-2013. Ricky was a Special Olympian for many years and won a gold medal in wrestling. He loved his family, and to sing and dance, specifically to oldies.
Rickey is survived by his siblings, Michael (Rosemary) Smith, Earl (Sherry) MacDonald, and Lorne (Beth) MacDonald; his aunt, Marion Smith; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 31, 2017 from 3-8pm at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Ave. A funeral service will be held Friday, March 31, at 7pm at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Ave. A private burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery. Donations can be made in Ricky’s honor to the Special Olympics of Michigan.
