Robert “Bob” Darbyson, age 89, passed away due to an accident on August 8, 2025. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on October 24, 1935, to his late parents William and Laura Darbyson. Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Marilyn Beverly nee Axford Darbyson, brother, John Darbyson, and his grandson Markie. He is survived by his daughters, Bobbi Sue (Angelo) Salvaggio, Carol Darbyson, Laura Darbyson; granddaughters, Nikki, Jenielle, Brooke; great-grandson, Wyatt; and sister, Bev (Ken) Majewski.
Bob worked as a lineman for Detroit Edison. He was a great father who taught his daughters like sons! Cutting lawn, changing tires, oil and many other things. He loved racing at Mt. Clemens racetrack and won many trophies. Bob bought toys for his children like boats, skidoos and more. He loved his German Shepards. He was a giving man in so many ways and was his family’s hero.
