Thomas (Tom) Stanley Swiatkowski died at 85. He was proud to be of Polish descent, but so loved America he flew the flag every day. Son of Sophia and Stanley Swiatkowski, graduated St. Florian School where he never let us forget he was “Holy Name President.” He loved baseball, played it from morning til night. He was a pitcher and even tried out for the Tigers. He has a baseball library that is unrivaled. He was in the Army National Guard from 1962 to 1969. He worked at the Gas Co. where he met his wife, Janice. They just celebrated their 60th anniversary. He worked 30 years and retired from Chrysler. He was proud to be a Committee Man and fight for the UAW. He taught Ergonomics to make jobs easier and safer. He loved spending time at his Michigan cottage and his Naples condo.
He is survived by his wife Janice (Jan), sister, Loretta Szajner, sister, Arlene (deceased) and his children whom he adored. Laura (Ernie) Zablocki, John (Maria) Swiatkowski, and Darryl (Cris) Swiatkowski. He was so proud of his 6 grandchildren, Brent and Bonnie Zablocki, Alexa and Ava Swiatkowski, and Luke and Claire Swiatkowski, 3 of them are pitchers like he was.

He wished to be cremated, having a memorial visitation on Friday, March 15, 2024, from 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm, at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores. A celebration mass on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. (Instate 9:30 a.m.) at St. Margaret of Scotland, 21201 E 13 Mile Rd., St. Clair Shores.
