Walter Roger Kochan, age 82, passed away on May 25, 2026. He was born in Niagara Falls, New York on September 16, 1943, to his late parents Walter and Marie Kochan. Roger is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Darlene; loving children: M. Christine (Jenny Young), David (Kathleen); and dear grandchildren: Abby and Emily. He was a Vietnam War United States Army veteran who earned a purple heart. Roger was an active member of the VFW Bruce Post 1146 and the Military Order of the Purple Heart Chapter 1818. He lived at the Michigan Veterans Home in Chesterfield for 4 months. Due to the great care Roger received, the family asks that any donations in his honor be made to the home.
