

Wanda Sue Candela, 72, of Roseville, Michigan, was born December 13, 1953, in Detroit, Michigan, to parents Charles and Margie Burgess. Wanda passed away on March 7, 2026, in Roseville, Michigan. Wanda will be remembered as an adventurous, generous, kind-hearted, and selfless woman whose presence brought comfort and steadiness to those who knew her. From this point forward, Wanda will be lovingly remembered as “Tubby.”
Tubby worked as a banquet catering manager for a country club, a role that reflected her attentive nature and her gift for caring for others through service and hospitality.
Wanda was the wife of the late Joseph Candela Jr. and the devoted mother of Lisa (the late David) Dell'Eva, Joseph (Kristy) Candela, and the late Anthony Candela. She was a cherished mamie to Taylor (Sam) Davis, William (Leah) Davis, Lani (Fiancé Jacob Hodges) Noy, Nikalaus Noy, Dylan Dell'Eve, and Joshua Dalia. Wanda Sue was also the sister of Michael Burgess and Jerry (Deborah Barker) Burgess. Cherished aunt to Terry, Tony, Tina, Robert, Berry, Ryan and Adrienne. Great aunt to Savana, Satia, Sydney, Emma, Jeron, Katie (Patrick), Brandon (Angelica), Damian, Brianna, Shelby, and Max. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Gloria Bowman-Burgess, Charles W. Burgess Jr., Ronald L. Burgess, Berry R. Burgess, Susan Burgess and nephew Duane Burgess.
Above all, Tubby loved spending time with family, and that love was returned in full by those who were fortunate enough to share life with her.
Visitation will be held at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores, Michigan 48081, on March 16, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A gathering will take place at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores, Michigan 48081, on March 17, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 am.
Burial will follow at Woodmere Cemetery, 9400 W Fort St, Detroit, Michigan 48209.
