Margaret Kathryn Schoenstein

Margaret Schoenstein passed away on Monday, April 15, 2013 in Napa, California. She was born September 19, 1920 in Oakland, California to William and Margaret Heinemann. She is preceded in death by her husband of 34 years Bernard, parents, and brother Carl Heinemann. She is survived by her children Kathryn Dobie, John Schoenstein, Diane Gatto (Greg), and Richard Schoenstein (Ginger). Also survived by 6 grandchildren Emily Dobie, Greta Dobie, Ellen Mora, Sarah and Audrey Schoenstein and Tim Gatto.

She moved to Richmond, California when she was 6 months old. She later moved to St. Helena in 1968. She was an active member of both the Saint Helena Catholic Church and OLPH in Calistoga. She was a life-long member of the YLI Institute. She worked in various bakeries throughout the Napa Valley for 20 years and enjoyed the family vineyard.

There will be a public visitation on Friday, April 19th from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Morrison Funeral Chapel (975 Vintage Avenue in St. Helena). Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 20th at 11:00 am at the Saint Helena Catholic Church (Tainter and Oak in St. Helena) followed by a Graveside Service at the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
