Robert Lee Vanderford

Husband of Nathalia Vanderford. Former husband of Selma Vanderford (deceased). Loving and dedicated father and grandfather to Leann Ronan, Robin Lincoln (deceased), Margaret Bregante, Bryan Koenders, Karen Lincoln-Hartgraves, and Everett Lincoln. Bob was a loyal friend to all he met.

Born on January 16, 1920, in El Dorado, Kansas, to Millard and Rosa Ivey Vanderford. Bob served in the Army, with the 43rd Reconnaissance Squadron, until the end of WWII. Settling with his wife and children in Marin County, Bob worked as an engineer at the Pacific Telephone Company, until his retirement in 1965.

He and his current wife, Nathalia, retired to Calistoga, in 1965, where Bob enjoyed gardening. He also enjoyed making quilts and latch-hooking. He was an avid reader. Bob’s passion was to record the reading of scripture and singing hymns which spoke to his Christian heart and patriotic spirit.

Visitation is Monday, January 23rd from 4 – 7pm at Morrison’s Funeral Home in St. Helena. Funeral service will be Tuesday, January 24th at 9:30am.
