A life well lived is a precious gift,
Of hope and strength and grace,
From someone who has made our world
A brighter, better place.
(excerpt from a Life Well Lived)
The world lost one of its kindest and warmest hearts on February 3, 2025, when Barbara Grant passed away at the age of 84 in Greenfield Park, Quebec. Although we miss her dearly, we know she is with the angels, planting flowers and watching the birds from above.
Barbara was a woman of many loves; family and friends meant everything. Most of all, she was a loving spouse to Henry Frail, with whom she shared 47 years. Their life together was centred on fun nights at the Legion, travel to visit family in Ontario, Nova Scotia and British Columbia and endless nights together on their back deck. Barb’s life was made complete with friends and activities including painting and theatre. She treasured her time with immediate family, daughters, Suzanne Glenn (Steve) and Sandi Heit (Peter) and grand-daughters, Kelsey Heit, Sarah and Emma Glenn. Barb will be fondly remembered by siblings, Ron Grant (Brenda), Judy Carey (Ralph), Ken Grant (Carol) and by step-children, Wendy Frail (Darren Dambitis ) and Dean Frail (Mandy Decker)
Barb believed deeply in giving back.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or the Centres d'hébergement et de soins de longue durée (CHSLD Marguerite-Rocheleau) would honour her memory best. All are welcome to a celebration of her wonderful life at the Royal Canadian Legion Greenfield Park Branch 94 on March 22, 2025 from 1pm to 4pm. We sincerely thank the medical professionals who helped Barbara and our family during her illness.
Barb, until we meet again, we promise to tend our flowers with care and most importantly, love each other to the moon and back.
