Carolyn Jones

Beloved mother of Mark and Amanda MacDougall (Dimitri). She is survived by her mother Lorna Joan Guérin, and lovingly remembered by her siblings Anne, Robbie, Michael (Diane) and Joanne, her extended family namely Cathy (Andy), Liz, Christopher and Stéphanie as well as her nieces and nephews, her friends, and the countless people that she helped during her life. She is predeceased by her father, Robert Emmett Jones.

The family will receive condolences on Monday, November 20, 2023, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., and on Tuesday, November 21 from 11 a.m. followed by the service in the chapel at 1 p.m. at the Collins Clarke MacGillivray White, Dignity Memorial, 307 Riverside, Saint-Lambert, QC J4P 1A7. There will not be a reception following the service.

Our special thanks go out to her oncologist Dr. Omar Moreira Bacha, her pivot nurse Catherine de Ravinel, and all the doctors, nurses, orderlies and volunteers at the CHUM, both in the oncology and the palliative care units, and at the Samuel-de-Champlain Palliative Care Center whose unwavering care and kindness cannot go unmentioned. We thank them for everything they did for Carolyn at every stage of her battle with cancer.

Just as she loved to help people in life, she decided to continue to help others in death and opted to donate her body to science. Hopefully, this will help researchers gain a better understanding of the type of ovarian cancer that she was diagnosed with.
