We are deeply saddened by the loss of your mother, Ellen. For close to  45 years, she has been more than just a neighbour to us. Ellen always had a kind word and a warm smile for everyone. She was welcoming, generous, and truly cared about those around her.

We will always remember her for her big heart and her gentle presence.

Please accept our sincere condolences. We are thinking of you all during this difficult time. May Ellen rest in peace after a life so rich and full. We will keep wonderful memories of her and of your family.

My condolences to the entire family.  I met Ellen in 1990 when my daughter attended her pre-school. What a kind and loving environment she created for the children.  More recently we met again when our mother moved into the Residence Mont-Royal.  Our mom’s room was beside Ellen’s and Ellen welcomed her the first few days with little Irish songs and took our mom under her wing.  She always had a smile and a kind word. She will be deeply missed.

Our heartfelt sympathy on the passing of your dear mother, Ellen. We have such fond memories of her at St.Jude School. Ellen was always there to volunteer a helping hand from St.Patrick’s Day bake sales to supporting the St.Jude Choir.
She was so proud of her children and we had the privilege of teaching them.

In our lifetime we make lots of friends but Ellen was always a true & wonderful friend.  We shared so much & it was always with laughs & fun times.  I especially was happy to make her long time wish to return to Cork, Ireland a reality. & to recall her early childhood  steps.  It was all very special to see her face light up when we went to where she was baptized, her Church , her school, where she danced & sang & most if all meeting her childhood friends & going to her home.  
Ellen was a wonderful wife, Mam, carer, provider & house updater & decorator & a friend never to be forgotten. 
Entertain them all in Heaven dear Ellen.

To the Boyle Family, 
I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved mom. You guys are like family to me. I will always remember the day she said I should call her “Auntie Ellen”. She always knew how to make a person feel loved and special. I can still hear her voice yelling “yoo-hoo!” over our fence whenever she would come over for a swim in our pool on Miller Street. I always loved the days she would visit. She was a great storyteller and always knew how to turn any story amusing! And of course, her gift of song. 
My heart hurts at the thought that we’ve lost such a beautiful soul. But what a legacy she has left behind in her family ❤️

To Marie-Claire and family. She will be greatly missed but oh, the memories. You’ll find yourself thinking ‘have to call Mum about that’ and realise that she already knows because she will be watching over you to make sure that you are all ok. Hers was a life well lived. And now she is on to her next adventure according to her faith. Whenever we lose a loved one, I hope that they realise how much they have affected the people they have met and how they made a difference in their lives. You will certainly find that out going forward as you hear from the people who had the privilege to meet her. And  it will give you strength. My prayers go out to you and your loved ones.

To all the Boyle family, from Kathryn and Marcel Doré, we send you our deepest condolences on Ellen's passing. We fondly remember many visits with our close families. Ellen was always so welcoming to all of us kids, as we often went over to Patricia St. for camaraderie and some food! We enjoyed your visits to our childhood home, whether it was for outdoor fun, a hearty meal or a "friendly" game of bridge. I remember "babysitting" the Boyle children and how well behaved they were, especially Nick! After we moved out of Montreal, we had less visits, but I dearly remember Ellen singing "Oh Danny Boy" by a small waterfall, at my father's memorial at the La Prairie golf course in 2014. Definitely a legend!

Such a lovely lady. Met Ellen when my daughter attended her pre-school at Good Shepherd. Always warm and welcoming to her little attendees. Deepest condolences to her family.

Our condolences to all of you! 
We met at St Mary's in the early 70s. Ellen and Pat were like 2nd parents to me. Summers and weekends at Selby Lake. Even many many lunches at the Boyle home during my elementary school years. 
Ellen always treated me like a son.  She also taught our girls at the the little church in St Lambert. We laughed when they came home speaking with an English accent from mimicking Ellen's accent.  The amount of times Ellen would break into song! And her fearlessness to sing in front of crowds was an inspiration to me as a young want-to-be singer .  A very giving person with a personality that lit up a room. Des bon souvenirs pour un p'tit francophone comme moi! Rest in Peace Ellen, you made my life a better one.
