Over the last 30 years she was fortunate to take many vacations to clubs and cruise holidays, she backpacked through Nicaragua twice and drove a recreational vehicle across the North American continent many times always taking a different route home. Mazatlan, Mexico became Joyce's home away from home, there she spent 17 winters with her husband Urban, where they were active members of the Mar a Villas RV community where she made many long-lasting relationships. Her love for life, the beach, sun, and people gave her a bright smile that will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
Joyce was exceptionally generous, always spreading delight and laughter to those around her. She adored her grandchildren and prioritized being actively involved in their lives, regularly reaching out to ensure their well-being. As a dedicated homemaker and excellent baker, she welcomed everyone into her home and deeply cared for her family. Her door was always open to friends and family, and she never missed an opportunity to socialize, bringing warmth and laughter wherever she went.
