Roxanne was born March 10th, 1949 in London England. Around 12 years old she moved with her parents Frederick George Wilson, (Deceased) and Florence Patricia, (Deceased) to start her life in Saint-Hubert, Québec, Canada, leaving behind her London family, including her beloved cousin Paul Barrow.
She worked many jobs including bartending at the Royal Canadian Legion, and being the librarian at her daughter’s school, before finding a career as a Kennel Master at the Centre Vétérinaire Rive-Sud in Brossard, Québec. She retired at 70 years old in a job where she was able to surround herself with animals.
Roxanne had a love for all things furry but she had a soft spot for cats. She was an avid reader and always had her nose in a book with her favorite authors being Kathy Reichs and Stephen King. She had a passion for movies, which was evident in her 1000+ VHS and DVD collection. Her guilty pleasure however was a TV show called Coronation Street which brought her back to her British roots.
In 2019, after a decades long search, Roxanne finally found her long lost half brother Tim, with whom they shared a mother. She travelled back to London to meet him and was lovingly welcomed into his family.
Roxanne leaves behind two daughters, Adrienne and Angélique who she loved unconditionally and always had a moment to lend an ear. She will be missed by her 4 grand children Nicole, Matthew, Aidan and Gillian who also received her love and devotion. Her words of encouragement, wisdom and advice will live forever in her loved ones. Roxanne was an exceptional woman, loved by all who knew her.
Please join us in celebrating her life on Sunday March 10th, 2024 from noon until 4pm at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White Funeral Home 307 Riverside Drive, Saint-Lambert, Québec.
Adrienne and Angélique invite everyone to join them at 2pm where they will be sharing stories of love and memories.
