Beatrice W Coates

Beatrice W Coates, born in Frankfurt, Germany on September 21, 1947, passed away on December 7, 2025, at the age of 78. She is preceded in death by her father, Thomas Morrison and mother, Ursula Morrison and her brother, Gary Morrison. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Jeff Coates, her sisters Virginia Keim and Linda Nunley, brother Ken Morrison and her children Linda Tarlas (nee Coates) ( Lindsey), Madison Coates (Jillian), and Evelyn Coates.

Beatrice had a large family which was the light of her life. She had 8 grand kids, Melissa Walters (née Coates) (Jeff), Eric Coates (Emily), Raffaele Gatti (Samantha), Jeff Gatti (Hannah), Anthony Gatti (Chelsea), Caroline Childs (nee Gatti) (Andrew), Roxy Coates, and Andi Coates and 11 great grandkids, Eleanor Walters, Charlotte Walters, Vivienne Walters, Henry Gatti, Josephine Gatti, Jackson Childs, Penelope Childs, Avery Gatti, Vera Coates, Poppy Coates, and Miller Coates.

She loved anything and everything that had to do with the grandchildren and great grandchildren! Beatrice worked in the finance industry but her main focus was caring for her family. She enjoyed traveling (Germany was a favorite) tending to her garden, bird watching, and she especially loved Christmas time and making sure everyone had presents under the tree.

Beatrice was loved and will be missed by many, especially her husband, Jeff.

A memorial service will be held at Kriegshauser Mortuary-West Chapel, located at 9450 Olive Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63132, United States, on December 13, 2025, starting at 12:00 pm. Visitation will follow at the same location from the end of service to 2:00 pm.
