Don, was a great mentor to me. 
I met Don in 1967 and worked under his supervision for seven years. He invested countless hours in me.    The things I learned under his leadership at Anheuser Busch as a professional shaped my professional career. I thank God for Don Richmond.  Dr. Sterling Lands II.

Grandpa, you lived 92 amazing years on this earth! We will miss you greatly but have so many treasured memories. My favorite were spending time listening to stories of your childhood and all the wonderful trips to Lake Sherwood. Our family had an incredibly wise gentleman we were blessed to call father, grandpa and great grandpa!

I am a proud grandson to the greatest grandfather anyone could ask for. I have fond memories of time spent with you in your workshop.  Every year we went into your basement to make special gifts for our own parents.  You made so much time for us and constantly taught us along the way.  Everything you did was for your family.  Your legacy will live on through all of us.  We love you and we will miss you.

What a wonderful life you lived!  Thank you for the great example you showed us to be an amazing spouse, father, grandparent, friend, and worker.  We will miss your kindness, wisdom, pancakes, and stories (that always seemed to include a valuable lesson).  We love you so much!

Now you are a SENIOR Fellow in the Instrument Society of America.  And you are now a SENIOR Master Brewer.  And now, a SENIOR Assistant to the Master Engineer of All Created Things!  "Well done, good and faithful servant!"
We who are still here can sketch, plan and design the remaining days of our lives so that we can be united again, in perfect barbershop harmony, with the finest choirs of all times!

My first memory of you Dad was at age three, so I have sixty four years of wonderful memories to reflect upon.  You were the kindest man I ever met and you shared that kindness, your wisdom, generosity, strength and love so willingly with everyone for ninety two years.  You certainly made the world a better place.  What a beautiful life!

Grandpa, the legacy you've left is one that any man strives for... a loving husband, father, and grandfather, successful, patient, caring, intelligent, funny, and kind to everyone.  We're so lucky to have had the best Grandpa in the world.  We are so lucky to have had you in our lives.  The world is truly a better place because of you.

You were the best Dad a child could ask for. You always taught us to make wise decisions, the importance of saving for the future and that a good education was a necessity to succeed in life. We all have so many fond memories of our camping trips, your pancake breakfasts, fun times at Lake Sherwood, your childhood stories, your sense of humor, your love for your family and most of all your love and devotion to mom. You two were the example of what a true Christian marriage should look like. I know you were as proud of us as we were to have you as our beloved father. We will miss you but know you are singing our praises in heaven.

In 50 years if I'm remembered as a kind, intelligent and thoughtful grandfather, I'll remember where I learned how. Thank you for everything.

I sit staring at this picture and think you're invincible and that you'd never leave us.  How selfish of me not to share you with all the singing angels in heaven. Now, you can tell all your wonderful stories to them. You were the BEST Dad anyone could ever have and I'll miss you everyday.  I'm proud to be a Richmond.

Grandpa, I've always felt blessed to be born into the Richmond family and you're an important part of that feeling. You've been a wonderful role model and caring person every single day I knew you. I will miss your warm and kind smile the most. I hope to teach my children the lessons you taught me and show them the love you gave me. You'll be missed and remembered with love always. xoxo

What an amazing 92 years you lived!  You taught me so much! I will treasure all of the memories I have with you forever!  My family and I will always remember the wonderful stories you shared with us. We will enjoy retelling them for years. Thank you for being a great role model and teaching me about the importance of saving money and going to college.  I always enjoyed our time together, especially our summer days at Lake Sherwood. I feel so blessed to have been born a Richmond and to have had such a wonderful, loving Dad.  The lessons Dad learned as a young child during the Great Depression certainly influenced the rest of his life.  From these early experiences he learned the importance of family teamwork and resourcefulness, the importance of building a strong foundation with a good education, the value of saving money, and having a strong faith in God.  He spent his 92 years sharing these life lessons with his family.  He taught us by example what a happy, loving family looks like.  Dad was a positive person, always looking for the good in people and wanting to help.  His legacy of love for his family will always be cherished in the re-telling and remembering of his stories and the lessons we learned from his wisdom.  I love you and will miss you, Dad.

What a great guy. A fellow A-B retiree, it was always a pleasure to not only work with Don but also to have him for a friend. He loved his family and making toys for the children, if I remember correctly. God bless...and Peace, my friend.

I worked with Don at A.B..along with Bob Bruce, Don was a good employee, intelligent, kind, and helpful.If  I am right he sang in A.B. choir under the direction of Ralph Thamen, who I have not  been in contact with.  John Powers.

Grandpa, what an amazing 92 years you lived! I'll always remember sitting on your lap and listening to stories. Especially the ones about the honey bees :) You loved your family so much!  I'll miss you, and I love you with all my heart.

And now the Richmond siblings are all together again.  I wish I had gotten interested in family history long ago so I could have heard more of your stories of growing up in Hanover. I'll miss you, Uncle Don.

Grandpa, you will be greatly missed. I didn't get your smarts, but hopefully I have some of your many other qualities. Patience, compassion, humor, and courage you exemplified. Always willing to share wisdom, I hung on your every word looking to follow your example. Thank you for the lessons you taught me. Also, thanks for pointing out my swing wasn't level. That advice served me well.

Thank you for your funny childhood stories, for teaching us your hard work ethic, for instructing us about the importance of saving money, and for showing us what a big, loving family looks like. We are happy to know that you are singing in the choir of Angels and dancing with Jesus (as Brooke says). We love you Grandpa/Papa!
