Doris Marie Weirich, age 83, of Wildwood, Missouri passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2022. Doris was born May 1, 1939 to Richard and Barbara (Faenger) Janes whom have preceded her in death along with her beloved husband Eugene Weirich.
Doris is survived by her children, Kristin (Theodore) Sample and Keith (Erin) Weirich. She also leaves behind her loving grandchildren Zachary (Falyn) Sample, Nicholas (Danielle Kirsch) Sample and Ash Sample and her great grandchildren, Violet and Beau Sample. Doris will be missed by her longtime friends, and other family.
Doris was an avid St. Louis Blues fan, she loved hockey and spent years watching her children and grandchildren play the sport. During times when Doris would travel and visit her daughter, she was known as the “grandma who would bring Imo’s pizza.” She enjoyed reading, took part in a bowling league and could definitely twirl a baton back in the day when she was a majorette with some of her best gal pals. She enjoyed spending the summers watching musicals at The MUNY. Doris’ hobbies included sewing and gardening.
A visitation for Doris will be held Thursday, May 19, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hoffmeister South County Chapel, 1515 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, Missouri 63125. A funeral service will occur Friday, May 20, 2022 in the funeral home Chapel. A committal service will occur Friday, May 20, 2022 at Mount Hope Cemetery and Mausoleum, 1515 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, MO 63125.
