Eva D. DeWald

Eva passed away Sunday morning June 12, 2016 at the age of 90. She was born on November 4, 1925 in St. Louis, Mo . Eva was the youngest of four children born to John Leonard and Eva Leonard (nee Duckworth). She grew up during the Great Depression and World War II. Eva married Peter DeWald on October 19, 1946. She was a homemaker who raised four boys and a girl. Eva had four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

She cherished her family and was very proud of them all, especially her grand and great grandchildren. Her face would light up when they came to visit. Afterword she would tell everyone she came into contact with about their visit. Eva spent 26 years vacationing with her family at Table Rock Lake. It was the highlight of the year. We enjoyed hearing her laugh as we all sat around the table playing games. She will be missed.

The funeral service will be conducted in the Chapel of Hoffmeister South County 1515 Lemay Ferry Road, 63125,

on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at 9:30 a.m.

Interment will follow in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

Visitation on Tues. June 21, 4-8 p.m.
