James was born in St. Louis, Mo., the son of Raymond A. and Irene E. Archer (nee McLafferty). He is survived by his son, Connor Archer and siblings Lawrence Archer, Diane (Steve) Laferney, Barbara Archer and Susan Eaton. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Dan and Raymond Archer. Jim also leaves to cherish his memory his nieces and nephews, Nicole (Nick) Batten, Josh (Prudence) Laferney, Stephen Laferney, Wayne Eaton Jr, Sara Eaton, Christian Eaton, and Matthew Hames.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM, Monday August 14, 2023, at Hoffmeister South County Chapel, 1515 Lemay Ferry Rd. Interment will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Visitation is at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the time of service.
