John W. Thompson, age 70, of Saint Louis, Missouri passed away on Friday, February 7, 2025. He was born July 14, 1954, to Paul Hoyt and Jean Margaret (nee: Borgeld) Thompson. They have preceded him in death, as has his brother Paul "Tommy" Thompson. John is survived by: his loving wife Linda (nee: Thilmany) Thompson, of 24 years; his daughter Lydia Gray; his grandchildren: Camden and Emmaly Gray; his step-children: Christopher Lee, Stacie Landry (Shay); his step-grandson Shamus Landry (Sanaa); his sisters: Julie Eise (Mike), and Mary Finnegan (Charlie); cousins, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
John proudly served as a Captain in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed a career in nursing. He was an accomplished guitarist, and was a member of the St. Charles Tri-County Blues Society. His joy was playing music with old high school friends.
