I just received notice of this very sad news. 
I am deeply sorry to hear this.
Words cannot express my sorrow.
All my memories of Joseph are very, very positive and am fortunate to have been a small part of his first 3 years of life while at Wash U.
His eyes would always light up and an ear-to-ear smile would cover his face when I came by your home.  
I still remember when I visited after I had left Wash U.  Dave and I picked him up at school and he was so amazed I was back in town!

So sorry for your loss! Me and joe lived together for awhile and have been doing this path of recovery together for the last four years. Always looked forward to meeting up with Joe on Sunday's to go speak to people who needed a little bit of hope in there life. Joe was such a sweet, caring intelligent person and so happy that we got to walk this path of recovery together for the time we did

We are grieving with you, it is so hard to lose Joseph, Kai's first and oldest friend, our loved neighbor through so many happy years of running between houses, rolling down the hill in front, soccer, growing up. He was a special friend, always had the most generous heart, gentle ways, and as a young adult, right on thoughts about politics, much appreciated. We will miss him deeply.

Our hearts go out to you and all the friends and family; so many are grieving the loss of Joseph. 

We will remember 12 year old Joseph who was so into bowling he could barely stop talking enough to eat. There are so many other delightful memories.
