Joseph J. Wambach Sr., Baptized into the Hope of Christ Resurrection, August 15, 2012. He was born December 24, 1940, to the late Nick and Ann (Horvath) Wambach. Loving father of daughter, Elizabeth Frachtman (Kenneth) of Margate, FL. son Joseph J. Wambach Jr. of St. Louis, MO. Dear brother of Nick (Helen) and Robert (Rita) Wambach and the late Mary Ann Wambach.
Joseph passed away in his home with his daughter Elizabeth, his friend Terry Haney and family friend and nurse Patti Lawson at his bed side.
Joe was a retired carpenter and a 30 year member of the Carpenter Union. He enjoyed his family and friends and got great pleasure having them gather at his home to indulge in "Chef Joe's" creations. He was a very generous man and never turned away anyone in need, whether the need was of a material nature or a sympathetic ear. Joe was there for them. His retirement only lead way to other careers such as lawn manicuring, power washing and let us not forget gambling. He was able to enjoy traveling with his daughter and son-in-law, son and friends. He especially enjoyed his trip to Hawaii where he revealed what a lover of nature he was while whale watching. He also had the opportunity to visit the Philippines with his good friend Terry Haney. Those of us who know these two guys will assure you the Philippines were never the same after their visit. In his youth his love for fast and furious got him a reputation with the local law enforcement. 26 tickets and a few years later Joe slowed down. His love for cars remained which he shared with his son Joe Jr.
The last few weeks brought life long friends to Joe's home for a visit. We can all hope we will be remembered as we will remember Joe. He will be missed and will always be a memory in our hearts.
