

Beloved wife (1961-2025) of Jeffrey Kurtzman. Daughter of Albert Fred Stoll Jr. and Eleanor Stoll of Denver Colorado. Survived by husband Jeffrey Kurtzman of St. Louis, son Kenny Kurtzman of Houston Texas, daughter Julie Kurtzman of New York City, granddaughter Abigail Kurtzman of Austin, Texas, granddaughter Anaïs Reno of New York City, brother Albert Fred Stoll III and sister-in-law Linda Stoll of Scottsdale, Arizona, and families of Daniel and Amy Stoll of San Rafael, California, Todd and Kirstin LeBelle of Scottsdale, Arizona, Kenneth and Caryl Kurtzman of San Rafael, California, and David and Karen Kurtzman of South Lake Tahoe, California.
Born in Denver Colorado. Lifelong pianist and piano teacher. Graduated valedictorian from Westminster High School, Westminster, Colorado. Studied music, majoring in piano performance, at University of Colorado in Boulder (Bachelor of Music degree) and at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with Malcolm Bilson (Master of Music degree). Taught piano performance privately throughout her entire adult life to students ages 5 to 91 as well as hundreds of students at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champagne; Cornell University in Ithaca, New York; Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vermont; Rice University in Houston, Texas; and Washington University in St. Louis. Performed concerts at all of these institutions, including the first fortepiano concerts ever presented at Rice University. Served as Interim Director of the Houston Youth Symphony, Co-Master of Baker College at Rice University (1979-1984), and two terms as President of the Ladies Friday Music Club in St. Louis. She was also a 20-year long board member of Friends of Music Concerts St. Louis and performed numerous times on their programs.
