LaVerne R. Long

LaVerne is survived by; sons Gerald G. (Phyllis) Long and William F. (Jeanne) Long; daughter Jennifer J. Long; grandchildren Paul G. (Kimberly) Long, Catherine A. (Deniz Gungen) Long, Amanda M. (Moises) Long-Paz, Mallory A (Chris Singleton). Long, great grandchildren Johnathan G. Long, Madalyn G. Singleton, Abigail Singleton, loving aunt to Viola, Samantha, Laurie and Melanie. She leaves behind many great nieces and nephews.

LaVerne was preceded in death by her husband Gilbert F. Long; sister; Eileen Winsett and brother: Samuel Martindell, Jr.

LaVerne was a Girl Scout Adult volunteer since 1957, and belonged to Lutheran Women's Missionary League, Concordia Seminary Guild, St. John's Ladies Aid and St. John's Lap Robe Tackers.

A visitation for LaVerne will be held Tuesday, February 18, 2020 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd, Arnold, MO 63010. A short visitation will take place on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Saint John's Lutheran Church, 3517 Jeffco Blvd, Arnold, MO 63010. The funeral service will be Wednesday, February 19, 2020 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the church. The committal service will be held Wednesday, February 19, 2020 from 12:15 PM to 12:45 PM at Saint John's Lutheran Cemetery, 3517 Jeffco Blvd, Arnold, MO 63010. The burial will immediately follow.
