Loretta is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Donald. She also leaves behind her sons, Gregory and Michael, a special niece, Valerie, other special nieces, nephews, an abundance of cousins, many friends and loved ones.
Loretta had a strong faith and spent a great deal of time helping and serving on the board at her church, The St. Louis SouthSide Seventh-day Adventist Church. She enjoyed shopping and pampering and having a “ladies day out” with her closet friends, her sisters. Loretta loved the beauty of all flowers and gardening. She had a beautiful smile that could light up a room and will be greatly missed.
A visitation for Loretta will be held Wednesday, April 27, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Hoffmeister South County Chapel, 1515 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, MO 63125. A funeral service will occur Thursday, April 28, 2022 at 11:30 AM, at the funeral home. A committal service will occur Thursday, April 28, 2022 at 12:45 PM at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, 2900 Sheridan, Jefferson Barracks, MO 63125.
This poem was written and dedicated to my Precious Aunt Loretta
I Love you so much and will miss you Dearly. Love Valerie
Sweet Sunshine
I look at it oh so differently
what the Sunshine means to me
For Its your Sweet Smile that I see
When the Sun comes shining down on me
And when the sun is shining down
And I feel its warmth is all around
I close my eyes and you are there
And its been said by many - Near and Far
Sweet Sunshine is what you are
And your Sweet Sunshine fills my Heart
with such Beauty and such Warmth
As Bright as a Million Shooting Stars
Sweet Sunshine is what you are
I look at it all so differently
What the Sunshine means to me
For its your Sweet Smile that I see
When the sun comes shining down on me
A Special Gift from God above
I hope you know how much your Loved
I wish you hadn't gone away
I miss you more than words can say
I know I will see you once again
Your my Sweet Sunshine Until Then
Fly High my Sweet Angel....Love you More , Valerie
