Manuel A. Vazquez

Manuel Vazquez, age 90, of St. Louis, Missouri passed away on Friday, June 20, 2025. Born on March 31, 1935, in Mieres Spain to the late Juan and Oliva Vazquez (nee Alvarez). Loving husband of 60 years to the late Aquilina Vazquez; dear father of Manuel Vazquez Jr. and Maria Elena (Martin) Schall; cherished grandfather of Luke Schall, Ricardo, Daniel, Theresa, Anthony and the late Angelina Vazquez; dear brother of Eloina Garcia; our dear uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Manuel moved to this country 63 years ago, he was a trained cabinet maker working in construction for many years. He was a proud member of the Spanish Society and loved playing Rana where he was elected to the Hall of Fame. Manuel was a true craftsman, he always said, “tell me what you want, and I will build it”. He enjoyed watching the Real Oviedo soccer games, the STL Blues and the Cardinals.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Manuel’s name may be made to the charity of your choice.

Visitation for Manuel will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2025, from 4-8 PM at Hoffmeister South County Chapel 1515 Lemay Ferry Road, Lemay, MO 63125.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 27, 2025, at 10:00 AM, St. Martin of Tour's Catholic Church 610 W. Ripa Avenue, Lemay, MO 63125.

Burial to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.
