He was born in Spelter, WV on May 17, 1924, son of the late Ebelia Fernandez Huerta and Jose Huerta.
Paul was also preceded in death by his brother Jose Huerta and his wife Margaret and his brother in law, John Romeo.
Surviving are his sister Josephine (Pila) Romeo of St. Louis,
his nieces and nephews Diana (Glenn) Holler, Barb (Wayne) Moellering, Denise (Keith) Lachnit, Tina (Buddy) Shaffer.
Paul was a great uncle to Eric, Doug, Matt, Marc, Michelle, Dan, Natalie, Sam and Evan.
Paul was retired from Kroger's having been a butcher for many years. He was a well liked man by many of his former customers and throughout the many retailers in downtown Clarksburg which he frequented during his retirement years.
Up until his brief illness, he was helping his friends at the Bluebird Store in Clarksburg. He was Catholic by faith having been a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Clarksburg.
Private interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Lemay, Missouri.
