Stephen Ross Arnold

He is the beloved husband of Charlene Arnold, nee Tallent; dear father of Stephen R. Arnold Jr., Kelly R (Brad) Friederich, and Sarah E. (Bill) Lodes; cherished grandfather of Christine Thompson, Joshua Arnold, Miranda Kahle, Alyssa Reynolds, Ross Friederich, Brittni Friedrich, Lilly Morrow, Evan Lodes and Garret Lodes; cherished great-grandfather of Aiden, Corbin, Nora, Alliana, Alex, Tristen, Ryder and Luna; and beloved brother of Tracy (Shirley) Arnold. He was preceded in death by his parents Sanford and Geraldine (nee Newnom) Arnold.

Steve was an active member of Antique Doorknob Collectors' Association, and had a knack for searching for and finding antiques, old cars, and antique guns to add to his collections. He was a graduate of the Missouri Military Academy and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Steve was co-owner, along with his brother Tracy, of S.M. Arnold Inc. The company was founded by their father Sanford Arnold in 1928.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 am, Thursday, February 22, at Hoffmeister South County Chapel, 1515 Lemay Ferry Rd, St. Louis, Mo. 63125. Private cremation will follow. Visitation is at the funeral home from 4-8 pm Wednesday, February 21. Memorial donations are appreciated to St. Jude Childrens' Research Hospital or the charity of the donor’s choice.
