I was shocked to find out about Ted's passing via Google.  Ted and I had been long-term friend's, colleagues and we had work together for the division of finance where I was his supervisor.  Ted and I were friends starting from our day at Alexander Proudfoot and Company, where we spent several years in Santa Barbara, to his time with Lindell, the Division of Finance and First Bank.  Ted was an excellent swimming and water polo coach, wining many awards.  He was also an Eagle Scout.  Ted was a proud father of Coke Greenhouse, his son that he loved more than life.   He was so proud of him.  Again, Ted I am so sorry for your passing.  

I am so sorry to just learn of Teds passing he was a great trust examiner and he went on to work for me at First Bank he was a great swimmer and loved water polo. Donald Fitzgerald

What a shock! Learning that my brother Ted died last August in the Clayton High School Alumni Bulletin. I admired his courage in returning to compete in water polo after the surgery his Junior year, when he could not walk, but mustered the fortitude to continue to serve as a superb deep water goalie.
It was our father back when we lived in Florida, who was so very proud that Ted was born to swim. His swim meets there united The Greenhouse Family. He was a winner then, as an individual competitive swimmer at a young age, and a 
winning water polo team member at Clayton High during his years on that illustrious undefeated team.

Our sincere  condolences  to Ted family.  We met Ted through a Summer water polo  league  for high school  kids. There are natural  born  leaders , we knew that was Ted immediately. My son Joseph  truly  loved his coaching  style,  and that he was patient with the kids and lead in a way that truly resonated  with all of them. One can only assume  that the qualities shown at the pool as a coach were with him everyday.

I am very sorry to hear of your/our loss. I first met Ted when he was with Lindell Trust about 30 years ago. Our paths crossed many times over the years. With my career in the car business and his in banking, we had a lot of memories and stories to share. He spoke with such pride of Cole. He will be missed by all who knew him. What a great guy. I am so sorry I learned so late of his passing.

I just learned of Ted's passing and I am so sorry to hear the news. Ted was a visionary when it came to initiating new water polo programs. Never one to shy away from the challenge, he was a key factor in getting teams started on several levels. I always enjoyed his energy for the sport, coaching, and his love of his athletes and greatly respected his commitment. He spent much of his live investing in others, which will live on for years to come. 

Our heartfelt prayers go to his family and on behalf of the Collegiate Water Polo  Association we want to let you know what a difference Ted has made in both our organization and the lives of many student-athletes.

I am very sad to learn about Ted's passing.  He was a friend and teammate in high school.  He was a great water polo goalie.  I last saw Ted several years ago at Steak 'n Shake on Page.  He had his signature smile then as he does now in my heart.  To his family, I am very sorry for your loss.

With great sorrow.....our sympathies to the Greenhouse clan.  Ted was a great teammate and demonstrated great courage.  A quiet leader, he anchored a class that went 55-3 over four years and went undefeated in his last two years at Clayton.  Will miss you.
