HANCOCK, Verneil M. (nee Manton) 85 of Fredericktown, Missouri. Fortified with the sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Sunday, November 11, 2012; loving wife of the late Ralph D. Hancock Sr.; dear daughter of the late Neil and Verna Hancock; beloved mother of Ralph D. Hancock Jr., Richard (Peggy) Hancock, Bill (Dena) Hancock, Jim (Lori) Hancock, Jeanne Hancock, Mary (Bob) Wartenbe, and Chris Ponder; dear grandmother and great grandmother; loving sister, aunt and friend.
A very gentle and kind person, Verneil loved to read and spend time with her family. She worked for many years as a librarian for the St. Louis County Library system. She was queen of the household and her child like spirit will be missed by all who loved her.
Visitation 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Thursday, November 15, 2012, at Hoffmeister South County Chapel, 1515 Lemay Ferry Rd. Funeral service 12:00 p.m. Thursday, November 15, 2012 in the funeral home chapel. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
