

Wayne L. Roscoe, age 92, entered eternal rest on June 10, 2017. He is the beloved husband of Elvira L. Roscoe, nee Herzlik, who preceded him in death; father of Terry L. (Susan) Roscoe and Cheryl (the late Kenneth) Komor; grandfather of Brian (Abby) Roscoe and Barbara Labhart; great-grandfather of Andrew & Olivia Roscoe and Carter & Spencer Labhart; cousin of Robert Appel. Wayne was born in St. Louis on November 28, 1924, the only child of Valjean and Olivia Roscoe, nee Appel. Wayne lived a long and active life. He and his wife were world travelers, embarking on at least 25 cruises. He was an avid golfer and loved fishing in the lakes of Minnesota. Wayne also lived a life of community service. He is a World War II veteran of the U.S Army, a graduate of Washington University, charter member of the Jaycees and a 53-year member of Concord Trinity United Methodist Church. He is a member of Craftsman Masonic Lodge 717, where he served in a 1964 as grand master. Wayne was also a member of the Moolah Shrine and served on its Reception Committee.
A funeral service will be held at 10 am, Wednesday, June 14, at Concord Trinity UMC, 5275 S. Lindbergh Blvd. 63126. Entombment will follow at Oak Grove Mausoleum.
Visitation is from 4-8 pm Tuesday, June 13, at Hoffmeister South County Chapel, 1515 Lemay Ferry Rd. 63125. Memorial tributes suggested to St. Louis Shriners Hospital for Children, 4400 Clayton Ave, St. Louis, MO 63110.
