William A. "Bill" Olliges Sr.

St. Louis, MO to the late William A. and Alberta Olliges (nee Margold).

William is the loving husband of the late JoAnn Evelyn Olliges (nee Feigenbutz); he is the proud father of Terese Powell, Bill Jr. (Bernadette), Sharon Gillman (Skip), and Laura Boxdorfer (late Bill Box). Dear brother of the late Bob Olliges (Gerri) (and the late MaryJane), Janet Olliges (late Dale). Beloved grandpa of Rachel Gettemeier (Brian), Jennifer Rooks (Jason), Andrea Griffin and Erica Olliges, Beth Ashby (Troy), Stephanie Kesterson and Mike Powell Jr.(Amy), Bill Boxdorfer II , Neil Boxdorfer, and Jessica Boxdorfer. Happy great-grandfather of Allyson, Owen, Audrey, Grace, Claire, Reese, Duke, Ryland, Will, Bennett, Keaton, Jonas, Eli, Scout, Liv, (the late Zoey), Lennox and Jack. Dear Uncle, Great Uncle (to all the Olliges and Schulte families) and Cousin and friend to many.

Bill married JoAnn on September 25, 1954, they had four children and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was an avid sports fan; enjoying Cardinals baseball, as well as being a diehard BLUES fan and was thrilled to see them win the Stanley Cup in 2019. Bill worked many years at both Busch stadium and the "Arena" also known as the "old barn". He loved family vacations camping at Sam A. Baker State Park, many years vacationing at the Estero Island Beach Resort in Fort Myers, Fla., and traveling to New Orleans for good food and great music. He loved his many pet dogs, past and present.

A visitation for Bill will be held Thursday, May 12, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hoffmeister South County Chapel, 1515 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, MO 63125. A funeral service will occur Friday, May 13, 2022 10:00 AM at the funeral home. A committal service will follow at Mount Olive Cemetery.
