Elaine Gardemal Plessala

LOREAUVILLE – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Elaine “Noonie” Gardemal Plessala, age 57, at 2:30 pm Friday, March 8, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Fr. Ed Degeyter officiating. Interment will follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from10:00 am until service time on Friday with a Rosary at 11:00 am at Evangeline Funeral Home in St. Martinville.

A native of St. Martinville and resident of Loreauville, Mrs. Plessala passed away at 10:30 am on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Dauterive Hospital.

Elaine was a wonderful and loving wife, mother and grandmother who lived her life for her family. She was an animal lover who was especially fond of her beloved dog, Jolie.

She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Erne J. “Nub” Plessala, Jr. of Loreauville; her three children, Israel Paul Plessala and companion Jessica of Lafayette; Christopher Jude Plessala and companion Tiffany of St. Martinville and Lauren Rose Plessala of Loreauville; three grandchildren, Gunner Jude Plessala, Preston Paul Plessala and Myrelle Isabella Plessala and one brother, Remi Gardemal and companion Beth Grant of Broussard.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilmer and Eula Champagne Gardemal and one brother, Scott Gardemal.

Pallbearers will be Israel Paul Plessala, Christopher Jude Plessala, Gunner Jude Plessala, Remi Gardemal, Benji Gardemal and William Gardemal.

Preston Paul Plessala, Myrelle Isabella Plessala and Ryan Gardemal will serve as honorary pallbearers.
