

ST. MARTINVILLE – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Reid Damian Foti, age 43, at 10:30 am Monday, April 19, 2010 at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church with Msgr. Douglas Courville officiating. Interment will be held at St. Michael’s Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 8:00 am until 10:00 pm on Sunday with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Monday until service time.
A native and resident of St. Martinville, Reid passed away at 1:03 pm on Friday, April 16, 2010 at Dauterive hospital.
Reid was a 1984 graduate of St. Martinville Senior High. He was employed with the City of St. Martinville as an electrician for more than 20 years and also co-owner with his brother Ryan of the Oyster Bar in St. Martinville. Reid was a very kind and loving person who was always available to help out family and friends any time of the day or night. Reid was a very hard worker who had a love of the outdoors, and could be found tending to his cattle and crawfish ponds when he was not working. He will be missed early by his family, friends and co workers.
He is survived by his wife Ali Duplechain of St. Martinville; one son, Reig Ferdinand Foti; three step daughters, Leah, Lexi and Layla LaGrange and one step son, Paul “Brother” Smith all of St. Martinville; three brothers, Russel Foti and wife Cherie of Catahoula; Robert “Bob” Foti and Ryan Victor Foti and wife Monique; two sisters, Rose Delores Foti and Rhena F. Laperouse and husband Freddie, Jr. all of St. Martinville. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, Rusty Foti and wife Natalie; Kathryn Foti; Hunter Foti; Bert Laperouse; Elizabeth Laperouse, Bryan Laperouse; Evan Eschete and Dominic Foti and two great nieces, Gabrielle and Mia Foti; and his black lab, Sweetie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ferdinand C. “Brother” and Rena Boudreaux Foti.
Pallbearers will be Mike Douet, Brook Duplechain, Tyson Duplechain, Rusty Foti, Bert Laperouse, Bryan Laperouse, Paul “Brother” Smith and Hunter Foti.
Honorary pallbearers will be Nolan “Boo” Champagne, Michael “Big Mike” Champagne, Robert “Bob” Foti, Russel Foti, Ryan Victor Foti, Freddie Laperouse, Jr. and Shenney Duplechain.
