Heaven gained another angel on August 3rd, 2025, as our beloved Cindy “CC” Morse passed away peacefully at home in Florida, surrounded by loved ones. After a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease, Cindy left this world with the same grace and warmth she brought to every day of her life.
Born in St. Petersburg, Florida in 1957, Cindy graduated from Dixie Hollins High School in 1976 and soon after moved to Connecticut, where she built a beautiful life. On October 13th, 1979, she married the love of her life, Steve Morse—a bond that remained unshakable for more than four decades. Together, they designed and built their dream home in Broad Brook, CT in 1999, filling it with love, laughter, and the simple joys of everyday life.
Cindy earned her associate’s degree in business from Manchester Community College and dedicated 35 years of service to the Windsor Board of Education before retiring in 2015.
In 2018, Cindy and Steve returned to Florida, beginning a new chapter filled with sunshine, walks, and beach trips. She became a cherished part of the Towne Square Adult Day Care Center, where she was affectionately known as the “Cookie Monster.” Her time there brought her connection, purpose, and delight—even as Alzheimer’s slowly progressed.
To know Cindy was to know joy. Her smile was contagious, her laughter unforgettable. She radiated light, finding happiness in life’s simple pleasures—family dinners, floating in the pool, clipping flowers in the garden, or watching the waves along the Gulf. She often said she would have been a florist in another life; her gift for sharing beauty and happiness was evident in all she did.
Cindy had a deep love for animals, rescuing countless cats and dogs throughout her life, with a special place in her heart for black cats. Her furry companions were always considered part of the family.
She adored traveling, especially her trips to Italy, memories she held close and lit up with excitement whenever she talked about them. She found delight in shopping at Bealls, line dancing to ’90s country music, singing along to any tune, indulging in sweet treats, and going on spontaneous ice cream runs. The beach was her sanctuary—where she found both peace and joy in the sound of the waves and the simple art of people-watching.
Cindy was predeceased by her parents, Marjorie and Frank Campbell; her in-laws, Nancy and Carlton “Skip” Morse; and her cherished fur baby, Ethel Mae.
She leaves behind her devoted husband, Steve Morse, and her beloved fur babies, Tyler and Hudson. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Cathy and John Daly of Palmetto, FL; her best friend, Susanne Doerr of Bradenton, FL; Wendy Morse and Pete Sparks of Blandford, MA; Jill and Gary Burger of Farmington, CT; Bruce and Cheryl Morse of Windsor, CT; along with many treasured nieces, nephews, and their children.
Cindy’s love was boundless, her spirit radiant, and her memory will continue to bloom in the hearts of all who knew her.
