It has been one year since the love of my life and life partner for 30 years went to heaven to be with the Lord.  She was a Shining Light and I still miss her very much.  rest in Peace my Love.

July 4, 2022, marks 9 months since my wife and best friend Donna went to Heaven.  I still think of her every day, but know she is resting in peace, with no more pain and no more suffering.  She was and will always be loved !

As children, Donna and I spent a lot of time together. Whether playing "Starsky and Hutch" in one of our backyards or "Lava Lady" with her and my siblings, we shared many laughs and also some tears. 

Donna had such a warm and welcoming heart. She always put others before herself. Though miles separated us and life may have prevented us from staying in communication over the years, she will always be my "sister".  Donna will forever be in my heart. 

My thoughts and prayers are with Steven and all Donna's loved ones. 


I remember Donna in our neighborhood growing up.  We used to play slip and slide on her front lawn.  I also remember the carnivals we used to have at my house and the Dickson's house.  

I am so sorry for the passing of Donna.  She was a special friend.  I remember talking to her on the phone about 2 years ago.  It was so nice to "catch up" with her.  

I wish her family peace and serenity.  My thoughts and prayers go out to all her knew her.  

Our Father, bless our eyes today. We are Your messengers, and we would look upon the glorious reflection of Your Love which shines in everything. We live and move in You alone. We are not separate from Your eternal life. There is no death, for death is not Your Will. And we abide where You have placed us, in the life we share with You and with all living things, to be like You and part of You forever. We accept Your Thoughts as ours, and our will is one with Yours eternally.

I was truly blessed to call Donna a friend.  She was a kind, loving, and gentle person.  Donna would bake some amazing baked goods and bring them on Sundays to City on a Hill Church.  Everyone looked forward to church, but knowing Donna's home baked goods would be there literally made the experience sweeter. She demonstrated a true faith in her Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.  She was a beautiful example what it means to have both faith and deeds at work in every day life.  She adored Steve and the two of them were a wonderful testimony to love and faithfulness for all to see. We are comforted knowing that Donna is now at home with Jesus.  She will be greatly missed. 

Donna gave great advice, truly listened, and had a kindness that I haven’t seen anywhere else. She was overly grateful for anyone’s help, and wanted to help anyone she could. I’m so thankful the Lord placed us together. We were both answers to each other’s prayers. I will miss our tea time, praying, studying God’s word, and laughing with you. One of her favorite verses was, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” -Philippians 4:13. 
She had a true servants heart and selfishly put others needs before her own.

A final farewell to an amazing woman! Heaven has gained another angel, but the living have lost one of the kindest, Most loving , and genuine people I ever had the pleasure of meeting. In our brief time together you restored my faith in humanity, and filled my days with optimism, and laughter…! You will be missed much by so many ! Fly high my friend 

Donna:
     Difficult to put into words upon hearing the sad news.  Recalling the happy times when your sisters and I were all children together. Proud to hear of your achievements and service in life.

Donna was my neighbor for many years,  a lovely lady who always greeted you with a big smile.   I often saw her take beverages and food to people working outside.   She truly cared about others and their comfort.   Sending prays of comfort to you Steve.  You were such a devoted husband and friend to Donna.  May she finally rest in peace. We lived across the street from Donna for over 20 years.  She always had a smile and always made sure to wave and say hello.  When workers were outside, Donna made sure to offer them water or soda.  Just one of the nicest people Arlene and I have ever met.

Will miss my "little" sister terribly.  I know that she is in a better place with God's loving arms around her.  She now is no longer in pain and has been given a heavenly body as a believer.  2 Corinthians 5: "For we know that when this earthly tent we live in is taken down (that is, when we die and leave this earthly body), we will have a house in heaven, an eternal body made for us by God himself and not by human hands."

Rest in peace my precious sister!

Donna, my loving wife, was the kindest and most generous person I have ever known.  She always was looking to help others and provide for others less fortunate.  She also had a special place in her heart for law enforcement and firefighters, bringing them baked goodies on a regular basis.  All who know her will attest to her amazing baking skills, especially her chocolate chip muffins. As a certified personal trainer, she spent much of her time helping others reach their goals; and donated much of her time to conducting "boot camps" to raise donations for multiple good causes.  She was a Christian with great faith who I know will be watching down on me.

I will forever miss my appointments to visit with Donna and provide her a weekly haircut. She was a wonderful person full of advice and knowledge which I will forever remember and appreciate all she shared with me and taught me. I think of Donna like another mother to me. One who is irreplaceable. Much love to her husband Stephen. Thank you both for being such amazing people.
