Bridget Linville, born in 1948 in Schenectady, New York, lived a life defined by curiosity, courage, and an unwavering determination to master anything she put her hand to. From an early age, Bridget possessed both an adventurous spirit and a sharp intellect. She graduated from college with a degree in financial management and went on to build a distinguished career with International Paper, where she worked for many years. Her position allowed her to travel extensively overseas—an experience she embraced wholeheartedly.
Bridget’s life took an unexpected and joyful turn on the day she visited the airport where her future husband worked and asked for a glider ride. The moment they landed, she was so exhilarated that she immediately asked to learn how to fly. She followed through with characteristic enthusiasm, earning her wings under his instruction. Never one to shy away from a challenge, she later completed a parachute jump. She even volunteered to crew in flying competitions and learned to confidently handle a 30-foot glider trailer—feats that reflected her fearless, capable nature.
Bridget and her husband eventually married and built a life together in Florida, where they have lived in Point Brittany for the past ten years. Bridget quickly became a valued member of the community, serving for several years on the board of Building 5. Her warmth, dedication, and sharp insight made a meaningful impact on all who worked with her.
Bridget will be remembered for her kindness, strength, her brilliance, her love of adventure, and her ability to excel at anything she set out to do. Those who knew her will carry her memory with deep affection and gratitude.
A private funeral will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of St. Petersburg, whose care and compassion provided support in her final days.
