(Greenhalgh) died peacefully at home on March 7, 2018 in Tierra Verde, FL, surrounded by the love of family and friends. She was born on August 28, 1947 in Detroit, Michigan. Ellen is survived by her brother, Frank Greenhalgh (Regina); her daughter-in-law, Monique Brouxhon; stepson, Paul Howells (Debbie); stepdaughter, Liz Sinclair (Craig); and stepson, Mark Howells (Blanca). Ellen was a loving grandmother to Colin, Jubab, Lachlan, and Olivia. Ellen exhibited incredible grace and courage during her battle with brain cancer. She was soothed by faith that her journey will continue as a reunion with her late husband, Colin and her parents, Frank and Rosemary Greenhalgh. Ellen relocated to Tierra Verde, FL more than 20 years ago, after living in Detroit, Indianapolis, Atlanta, and Belize. She made many wonderful friendships that have continued for decades, especially with her group of friends on the island of Tierra Verde. A Celebration of Life will be held at Beach Memorial Chapel, 301 Corey Ave., St. Pete Beach, FL 360-5577 Wednesday, March 28 at 4 pm, followed by a Happy Hour in Ellen's honor. She requested, in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to Moffitt Cancer Center, Department of Neuro Oncology, Dr. Forsyth, 12902 USF Magnolia Dr., Tampa, FL 33612 for researching a cure for glioblastoma.
