

Laura Carol (Schoener) Hautmann of St. Petersburg Florida left her earthly home on February 16, 2022 at the age of 88. Laura was formerly a resident of Valley Stream, NY before moving east to Hampton Bays, NY. She moved to Pinellas Park Florida in 2002.
Before moving to Pinellas Park, Florida, Laura was a very active member of the Hampton Bays community. She was class mother for her two sons, Carl and Ken, who attended the Hampton Bays schools. Laura served as a member of Christ our Savior Lutheran Church. Laura and her husband Charlie enjoyed being on the water in their boats “Chubby” and “Happy Ours.” Laura worked in Hampton Bays at Showcase Hair Salon whereas a shampoo girl she met many friends. Living and working in Hampton Bays, Laura was known by many and loved by all. In Florida, Laura was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Largo. She had many family members as well as friends and neighbors whom she cherished. She often traveled to Maryland or New York to spend time with family and was always ready to stop anything to spend time with her grandchildren. She loved hosting Christmas parties and fun summer barbecues with family and friends in New York. She stayed connected with many people through writing letters and sending cards including hundreds of Christmas cards.
Laura was born on September 4, 1933, to John and Beatrice Schoener in Queens, New York. Laura married Charles John Hautmann in February of 1953. They moved to Hampton Bays in 1969.
Laura is survived by her sons Carl John Hautmann (Rachel) of Lusby, Maryland, Ken Richard Hautmann (Kim Beidelschies) of Largo, Florida. Her grandchildren Amanda Hautmann of Ohio, Corey Hautmann of Ohio, Colin Hautmann of Texas, Trevor Bolen of Ohio, Logan Phalen of Maryland, Connor Phalen of Maryland, and Jaret Beidelschies of Florida. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Laura is predeceased by her husband Charles John Hautmann (June 1987), and her sister Jean (Schoener) Weigand (April 1987).
A private burial will be held in Queens, NY at All Faiths Cemetery, and a memorial service/celebration of life will be held at Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church in Hampton Bays, on Tuesday, February 22 at 6:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her honor to The Marfan Foundation, 22 Manhasset Avenue, Port Washington, NY 11050 www.Marfan.org, or Suncoast Hospice, www.hospicefoundation.org.
