Oh precious Richard
The man I thought was stealing my sister from me when you were married and I was only 7.
I didn't understand then but I do now.
I am so grateful that you chose my sister Francine to be your wife.
What a blessing you have been for so many years to each other.

To my sister,I think of the loneliness you must feel every waking moment without Richard by your side.
Yet I know that we can console each other with the fact that Richard knew Jesus as his Savior,and all of us who have done the same have the blessed knowledge that we will see Richard again in heaven.

To his children,Nathalie,Cynthia and Matthew,I offer my deepest condolences in the loss of your dad,who was a giant of a man,not in stature but in character and his love for each of you!


This photo is the last day I spent with my dad, on Mother's day. I hugged him gently and kissed him. I will miss this wonderful and most important man in my life for my remaining time on earth. I look forward to seeing him again in heaven ❤️🥰

 At this tough time, I am glad you are able to take the opportunity to share time and retell stories that your dad started or fostered. Appreciate the time you had during his rally,  and now this time to support each other with great memories and love.

It's never easy losing a loved one that we knew so we'll and enjoyed life together for a while,  I will miss Richard for sure, we have great memories  to rely on going back to the Brookline days and the 4th of July parties that are sealed in memory and then Florida,
 love you, miss you, I will see you soon.

My dear Mon Oncle Riiiiichard (Reeeee-shaaaaar), as he used to say, (It cracked me up!) was quite the guy! I have many fond memories. As a very young girl 4/5/6 years old, racing down the Brookline stairs, down the hall and out to the pool area… the screen door, always looked open and year after year, I would run right into it and pop the screen out! Poor Unc had to pop it back in. He was always kind about it but told me to slooow down and check the screen before barreling through. I’m very careful with screen doors now. :) 

My favorite about him was his sense of humor. He was always quick with something to say with his contagious laugh to follow. He was his favorite comedian… and laughed at his own jokes. His laugh, made me laugh. 

I remember him telling me the first time he saw Ma Tante Francine. She was sitting outside on the porch and as he drove by and saw her sweet, sexy legs, he said- “I’m gonna marry her”.  His radiant smile and humor as he carried on the story- it was just wonderful. He told excellent stories and was always captivating to listen to. 

I could go on, but I’ll wrap up by saying how loved he was,  is and always will be. He will be deeply missed but I am so excited for the day, when we will be reunited in the presence of our Savior. I will see him and say “I’m gonna spend eternity with you!”

To Ma Tante Francine, I think of you daily. You gave him a wonderful life, with enormous love and laughter. He was one heck of a blessed man to have you and I’m so glad you will be reunited one day! It is life’s greatest blessing to know our loved ones are secure in Jesus’ arms and that we will see them again. Rest in that abundant promise. J’taime beaucoup! 

When visiting us Richard would always go to work and went to great lengths to help Al with the landscaping projects. The perfect placement of that rock was because of him and so it was crowned with his boots! I forget which one of us (Natalie?) placed the boots but this was a hoot! We laughed when this was done but it touched my heart deep this week ♥️. Some people leave footprints of kindness and love, courage and compassion, joy and faith. Even when they’re gone from us the trail they’ve left behind continues to bless us. 

We’re going to miss this. We had so much fun together. Sweet Richard! When visiting he always took us to dinner. We shared so much laughter together. And we shared the joy of the Lord! He’s gone before us now but we shall see him again someday in the presence of the Lord , in the sweet bye and bye. Love always ❤️ Al & Ann

We are going to miss our dear brother in law.

So very sorry for your loss.  I’m sure however that he is at peace and with our Lord Jesus.  My memories are varied but always include a sweet smile and quirky jokes.   Especially Remember walking the Marginal Way in Maine with him and family and my sister. I  always enjoyed talking with him about Boston Sport Teams.   He will be missed.  Rest in Peace.  

Amongst my favorite memories is when dad & mom visited me in Alaska with Briahna & Cynthia 2011; Briahna's grandpa wearing his official dog walker T-shirt as her grandpa was one of Briahna's dog Rose's favorite dog sitters/walkers.

Richard was as brilliant a man as one could ever imagine, he was talented in so many ways, he could think out of the box in dealing with any situation to fix whatever needed to be fixed and he had insight that was so amazing. He was always ready to help such as the many countless times he was there for his in-laws. Memories, the time he happened to have  an extra pair of shoes when we were 1/2 way to Canada when his Father-in-law realized he left the house with slippers on and didn't pack any shoes! His favorite shirt that he wore to EVER gathering for countless years!  I could write a novel with the memories of my brother-in-law, you are missed and will forever be in our hearts. Condolences to all the family. Love you!

57 total years worth of memories I can cherish forever. ❤️

My sweetheart was always full of surprises and joking around to make us happy. Even though he was in pain a lot of the time, he was always happy and ready to help others. Someday I will see him again in his new place in Heaven that Jesus will have prepared for me also. 

So glad we were able to celebrate dad's 77th birthday together ❤️ 

He was the hardest worker I’ve ever known. He taught me so much. He always tried to make us laugh 😂. He was always so cold 🥶 at my house. I wish a had a recording of the last month of him saying “what’s the temperature in here?! It’s hot 🥵 turn it down to 70!” I said hallelujah dad finally my kind of temperature. Love all the great memories we had and I will cherish them forever. Love you Dad ❤️
