Geiger, Sonia J. 95 passed away Monday 11/17/2014 at The Springs in South Pasadena. She is survived by her daughter Sonia Karnes, 7 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren and daughter in-law Kate Thornton. She was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence Thornton and husband Frank Geiger sons Walter and Lawrence Thornton. Born and raised in Maine, Sonia was a legal and Executive Secretary while raising her family. She and Frank retired to Florida in 1977 where she attended St John Vianney Church, was a member of the Women’s Chamber of Commerce of Greater Gulf Beaches, and for 13 years volunteered at Palms of Pasadena Hospital. A lively presence, a generous person, and a good friend too many. Sonia will be missed. Private services will be held at a later date in Lewiston, Maine.
