

Vincent A Stona Jr. 85, Passed away peacefully on 8/7/2014. A retired Police Captain from Suffolk County NY, born in Ft Apache Bronx NY and residing with his many close friends at Key Capri in Treasure Island. He was a devoted husband to his wife Genevieve for 54 years. A respected father to his son Vincent III, and devoted daughter Genevieve who was steadfast by his side and his loyal brother Carlo, He was a proud Grandfather to Vincent IV and Savannah his lil “scooter”. He was a loved Father in-law to Beth and Diona. And a devoted cousin to Vincent, Clair, Rosemarie, Pat, Tommy, Bobby, Joyce, Margie, Roger, Laura and our cousin's many children.
His many friends and family that shared his Surprise 85th birthday Sunday the 27th gave him great peace in his final days. Vincent lived a full life helping others. He was a Master Mason with the Garibaldi Lodge #542 in NY and Gulf Beach Lodge #291. A past president of the Suffolk County Police Benevolent Assoc. Founder and past president of the Police Columbia Assoc. and the Police Square Club, a respected Grand Marshall in the Suffolk County Columbus Day Parade, an Instructor and Distinguished Lecturer of the Suffolk County Police Academy, a Veteran of WW II and the Korean Conflict and a past president of the Superior Officer's Assoc., Founder of the Smithtown Police Pistol Team, First President of the Pinellas County Condo Owners of Florida were some of his many accomplishments.
