He was born in Brooklyn, New York, and attended high school in his city of birth before joining the army and being stationed in Puerto Rico and the United States during the Vietnam War.
He was married 63 years to the love of his life, Claire (Cerone) Tambasco. They raised two children together, Vincent Tambasco, Jr. and Teresa Clovis. He was a beloved member of his community, survived by his wife, Claire, children, Vinnie (Leticia) and Teresa, grandchildren, Amanda (Brett) and Lucia, five great-grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces and other close family.
He was a devout member of Saint Raphael Catholic Church and cherished spending time with his family at gatherings. Vincent Sr. had a passion for fishing and Italian cuisine; some of his greatest joys came from singing the songs of Frank Sinatra. His love for his family was evident in everything he did, and he will be deeply missed.
In honor of Vincent Sr.'s memory, donations can be made to Canine Compassions to continue his legacy of kindness. Though he will be deeply missed by all who knew him, Vincent Sr.'s memory will live on through the love he shared with those around him.
